Community Impact
Respond. Recover. Rebuild.
As we pivot now from response to recovery, your United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona is committed to building a thriving Southern Arizona community. For the past several months, we have joined with our nonprofit partners, local foundations, businesses, media and educational organizations to create and manage the United for Southern Arizona Emergency Relief Fund. Funds raised are distributed to partner agencies and go directly to helping local individuals and families in our community survive during and after the COVID-19 crisis and other emergency hardships. Our efforts will continue as we work towards recovering and rebuilding our community.
Never has the need been greater for the most vulnerable people in our community. The children, families, and older people who are laid-off, unemployed, low-income, homeless, underinsured, and struggling to make ends meet are now facing even more hardship. More than 150,000 families and individuals in southern Arizona are challenged by work and school closures, wage disruptions and restricted access to basic needs.
Your gift to this fund, will quickly support a child, family, or older person with what is essential right now and give individuals and families the necessary resources to recover from these hardships. With our non-profit partners, United Way will continue to deliver emergency services and resources for individuals and families.
Assistance and support includes:
- Food access and baby formula

- Other critical services and resources to stabilize families
